Let’s Talk About It — challenging the stigma against conversations on end-of-life planning.

Personal finance is one of the most difficult subjects to broach with family and friends. For many it is second only to end-of-life planning on the list of conversations we would like to avoid. We encourage our clients to have these conversations now, if possible, to avoid uncomfortable surprises later. If you plan to nominate someone to serve as your child’s guardian in your absence, or as your medical power of attorney, it is important for them to understand and accept that responsibility early on. This helps to ensure that they understand your idiosyncratic hopes and goals.
